Trials
We deal with all jury trials, particularly of a serious nature, or any charges where the consequences are serious, including future employment and travel issues.
This includes:
- Homicide – murder and manslaughter
- Drugs – all Class A, B and C drugs and precursors
- Sexual allegations
- Fraud
- Arson
- Money laundering and asset seizure
- Driving offences, including drink driving charges
There may be some occasions where we can apply for a potential trial to be thrown out due to week evidence. Known as section 347 (1) of the Crimes Act 1961 or section 147 of the Criminal Procedure Act the judge has the power to discharge the defendant either before or during the trail if the case is deemed to be weak or inappropriate.
